Ingles and Kroger 12/6-12/12

Ingles -

I don't shop here often since it's not terribly close and their double coupon rules are restrictive, confusing, and annoying; however, I like to keep an eye open in case they have good deals (especially since Target now price matches!) They occasionally do triples, but I haven't seen it in a while.

*edited to add: coupon policy states that they will double coupons up to .50, 3 like coupons in a transaction for every 10.00 purchase you make. For instance, if you purchase 10.00 of stuff, you can double 3 coupons for .50 each. (same or different) $20.00 means you can double 6, etc... This is price before coupons, so if you have bogo's, high value, or freebie coupons - this is where you can do well at Ingles with the right sale.*

Also, remember that bogo's and buy Y/$X.XX all ring up at the sale price when purchased individually. To say it a little simpler, you do not have to buy 2 items in a bogo sale to get the sale price. You do need to have the shopper card, though.

Savings with Coupons

I hear folks say often "I can never do that", or "that's just impossible", or "that's just once in a while", but here's some proof that major savings using coupons CAN be obtained - and obtained often.

Yes, it takes some work. And in the begining - lots of work and lots of mistakes. Over time, though, you can save your family lots of money, never be out of stock on essential household items, and even have things you can donate to folks less fortunate.

If it's after coupons, there's still some great deals to be had - especially if you have to shop anyways. Kroger on Broadway

This is from a poster on SD, Caseyj, and one of my friends in the area has been talking about this for a while also.

Since there are a lot of knoxville area kroger people, check out the closing store on Broadway. They were 50% off frozen and dairy (minus milk/eggs) section today (dont want to move it to the new store) and go 50% off deli Wednesday. Got .20 bagelfuls, .75 michelina pasta al dente things, lots else. I just went through the printable manu collection and printed out all the frozen Qs. I think the most expensive things I bought was bertolli meals for 2.50 each (8.99-50%-2.00 Q). Pretty filled up buggy for $30.

The new store opens thursday, I would bet they will give out $/$$ Qs and free stuff.

Got some sickies in the house, and I've got a minute, so I'll give you a heads up on some deals. *If* I am up long enough, I may actually work up some scenarios.

When you enter the store, look for the display that holds the Walgreen's weekly ad. You will also want to pick up the Green October coupon booklet, and if you see it - you'll want the white booklet that says something about saving $30 inside (if it's not up front, it may be near the Pharmacy) These contain Walgreen's coupons that you will want/need for some of the deals.

Did you get your Sunday paper? There's some good q's in there. Also, check the grocery store for tearpad coupons - particularly the Theraflu/Triaminic and Alka-seltzer coupons. Good deals this week, and coming up! (also, if you happen to find the Kleenex or Chinet tearpad coupons and they follow you home in quantity... I would love to trade you for them!)

For the IP's - there may be a few that are now over, or if you've printed within the last cycle, they won't print again for you.
